GOLDE: TEVYE'S WIFE

Old, worn house clothes: dress or skirt/blouse, apron, shawl, head scarf, optional petticoat.

Nightgown, nightcap. Plain, worn, demure.

Dress, hat, shawl, petticoat for Tzeitel's wedding. As dressy as she owns, but not new.

TZEITEL: THEIR DAUGHTER, AGE 19

Dress or skirt/blouse, apron, shawls head scarf, petticoat. Worn

"Wedding dress," veil, petticoat. Pale muslin dress with some ornamentation in the way of tucking or ruffling, but not a typical white wedding dress. Veil is sheer rectangle for draping over head and face.

HODEL: THEIR DAUGHTER, AGE 17
